Zach and Kendra opened up The Penny Ice Creamery (Santa Cruz, CA) last year and last week they posted a video on YouTube that went viral thanking the WH administration, Senators and Representatives for passing the Recovery Act which allowed them to secure funding to open up shop. The video also shows how the loan stimulated local economic activity.

The video eventually made its way to the White House and Vice President Joe Biden gave them a call yesterday. During the call Biden mentions how they wish he’d taken them on the road with them to tell people their story, then he invited them to the White House.
